Are You Ready?

I was driving all over the place this past week, and on my way home, I was in North Peoria. While driving I searched for “Mediterranean near me.” I found a place called Ammos and thought I’d give it a try.

I got the beef shawarma entree. It came with what you see above and a salad. The salad was really good. Maybe I made the wrong choice but the shawarma was dry and rubbery. If it is supposed to be that way, fine, but other times and places I have gotten it it wasn’t. The pita was good. The rice was decent.

I got a ton of food. And you should. It was $20. Look, I’m not here to destroy places. I love local. I will support local every day. But we are also a Community, this is my opinion (which I am entitled to) and honest info is given from me—always.

Would I go back? No. I think the prices are too high. I will say their food is quality though and I am not mad that I went.

Veteran?
