Is Traffic Better...or?

Traffic + Off Market Homes + Pitas + Garage Doors

🏙️My North Phoenix View

Quick local insight from your neighborhood’s front porch

The boom is great…right up until you’re sitting at the 101 light wondering what just happened.

Every week I drive around North Phoenix and see something new going up. Restaurants, apartments, medical buildings, coffee shops… the pace hasn’t slowed. On one hand, it’s great. More options, more convenience, more places for us to actually enjoy the neighborhood.

But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t come with headaches. Traffic feels heavier than it did two years ago. Some roads weren’t built for this much growth. And depending on where you live, the boom either makes life easier or a little more frustrating.

Personally, I think growth is good — but only if the infrastructure keeps up. I’m curious how you’re feeling about it. Is the boom making your day-to-day better… or worse?

Here’s what else is moving and shaking around town.

More Mayor’s Reviews!

I stopped by this spot after a meeting because everyone in the Group keeps saying they have the best gyros/pitas. I hadn’t been in years, so I figured it was time to see if it still held up.

One comment that stuck with me was that the place recently changed owners and the taste had changed too. After trying it again… I agree. The chicken was cooked well, but the overall flavor wasn’t great. The sauce was sloppy, the price felt high for what you get, and the meal left me disappointed.

Would I go back? Maybe, if I’m already in the area and want to give it one more shot. But for a chicken pita with no side, the value wasn’t there.

What I’m curious about is whether you’ve noticed the same thing. Has the taste changed, or did I just hit an off day?
