A Message From Vice Mayor O’Brien

I know North Phoenix is filled with residents who care about their community and each other, which is why I want to invite you to nominate someone who’s making a difference in the fight for equality, justice and unity.

Every year, the Phoenix Human Relations Commission recognizes the accomplishments of residents, including youth, who contributed significantly to creating a compassionate and socially just community. Honorees will be recognized on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Arizona Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Awards Breakfast.
