The Mayor Has News And It’s Big

Inside: Splash Edition 💦 | Big Nonprofit News ❤️ | This Week’s Most Talked-About Post

✍️ From The Desk Of The North Phoenix Mayor

This Saturday’s Splash Edition isn’t just water—it’s momentum. We’ve got vendors, energy, fun for everyone, and a lot of cool people to hang with. Don’t sleep on this.

After years of bringing North Phoenix together, we now have a nonprofit dedicated to amplifying everything we stand for—supporting neighbors, highlighting local gems, and creating real impact. It’s called Loving North Phoenix, and it’s built for all of us.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be unveiling how you can get involved—from volunteering to partnering to being featured. This isn’t just ours. It’s yours.

👉 Want to support the mission? Reply to this email or DM us on Instagram with “I’m In.” We’ll send you the first opportunity to get involved.

A Message From Vice Mayor O’Brien

Our City parks help contribute to the wonderful quality of life in North Phoenix. July is Parks and Recreation Month and we’re celebrating everything our team does to support a vibrant, healthy Community—from maintaining clean and safe parks to offering programs that bring neighbors together.

Phoenix Parks and Recreation touches lives in so many ways, and their work deserves our recognition. I encourage you to get out and enjoy a local park, pool or splash pad—and if you see a Parks and Rec employee, don’t forget to say thank you!

💬 Local Voices

We had some great additions this week, did you catch them?

Megan dropped a great blog about AP vs Dual Enrollment.

Heard of The House of Refuge? If not, please read.

In case you missed my interview with The Vice Mayor.

🔁 Give a round of applause to Megan and Ryan for showing what North Phoenix is all about.

📣 Hot Post Of The Week

This week’s Top Post comes from Lorin, and it was awesome; not because it is about real estate-but the things I even learned:

  • I think it’s great how the post was a question for Realtors and how many non-Realtors chimed in.

  • The misconception still about commissions (so stay tuned for a new blog from me about that).

  • How many people in the comments, bought a home from an Open House.

  • How many people thought by the agent not doing an open house that makes her/him lazy.

Hopefully Lorin is able to get her home sold!

Got a post or question like Lorin’s? Drop it in the Group and tag us. You might be next week’s “Hot Post” feature.

This month, it’s about momentum. With the nonprofit launched and Splash ready to roll, we’re setting the tone for the next chapter. And it’s all community-powered. Let’s keep going.
